DAVID BROZA at the Hilton Metropole London

Israeli singer-songwriter David Broza performed a one-off concert to a packed auditorium in London on Sunday night.

Tickets were completely sold out to the event, which was organized by the Zionist Federation. The trilingual singer, who is currently promoting his new greatest hits album The Best of Broza played the cabaret-style show at London's Hilton Metropole.

Moments after striking up his guitar for the first song, a female attendant walked across the stage and handed Broza a note. He read the message, rolled his eyes upwards to the ceiling and announced to the audience that Greece had won the European cup. With the football now over, Broza was apparently able to relax and perform a stunning set of Hebrew and Spanish hits, including "Sigaliot", "Haisha Sheiti" and "Yihyeh Tov".

Broza, who interrupted his current Israel tour to jet over to London for the weekend, made several comebacks to the stage after a rapturous standing ovation. He had the audience dancing in the aisles as he rounded off the show with an infectious and energetic song "La Rumba". Broza immediately came down from the stage to sign copies of his discs for his many adoring fans.

The concert was preceded by a charity auction, which is believed to have raised thousands of pounds for the Zionist Federation and the Israel Cancer Association.
